Week 74 or so

It's been a few weeks since our last update and as usual it's been very busy around here.  Snow has come, melted and come again in the last few weeks.  It snowed like crazy the week before Halloween.  Here are the boys at the bus stop a few days before Halloween.

The boys and I even got out for a day of skiing the week before Halloween at Arapahoe Basin.  Picture was deleted by accident.

The boys had a Halloween parade at school on Friday and we went to see the show.  Here's Peter with a couple of his pals.

Sam lined up with a geisha girl trailing behind.

The boys in front of our house just before they headed out for some trick-or-treating.

Sam is doing Monday Mountaineers again this year and one of the climbing instructors sent him home with a length of rope to practice his knot tying.  Sam decided to use the rope to repel off his bed.

This past Saturday we all got out for a few runs at Copper Mountain.  The snow was okay, it was a little busy on the hill, but it was still a beautiful day.

On Sunday we took the boys over to Woodward at Copper an indoor freestyle skiing and snowboard training facility.  Check out the link and videos on their site.  It is such a cool place and I wish this was around when I was young.  Seven trampolines, huge foam pits to jump into, a gymnasts floor, two different ski hills with many jumps, a huge skateboard bowl and two smaller half pipes and a great coaching staff.  The boys went for the whole day with four other friends.

Here's Sam flipping from the tramp into one of the foam pits.

Here's Sam getting a feel for the snow-flex (fake snow) on the smaller ramps.

A blurry shot of Peter catching a little air.

Then when Peter and Emmet started jumping from the snow-flex into the foam pit my camera battery died.  Pictures of that will have to wait until our next visit to Woodward.  Hopefully Shannon will let me play in the pits next time too.

Next weekend we are heading to Denver for the ski expo and this years Warren Miller film, can't wait.

Pray for snow and get your trip west planned soon.  Hope everyone is well.

Peter, Shannon, Peter J, Sam and Fleur
